I'm a fan of photos that showcase personality. While this image of my cousin and her now husband is posed, their big smiles give extra depth. It comes across as authentic. That is my goal. I appreciate photos that show genuine emotion.
It's easy to present images with the perfect composition and framing, but if it doesn't have that certain mood, then I'd take a poorly photographed image over that any day, so long as I can get the emotional connection.
With that being said, it's a constant journey. Every style has its place, although it's much easier to post perfectly manicured images.
